If you are one of those people who can't stand country because it doesn't have some deep hidden meaning and because you think its too twangy....do not ready anymore of this post. In fact don't ever talk to me again....jokes...I got jokes. This is a song that I heard on the way home tonight....I love it. Of course I can't relate to growing a fu manchu....but I can relate to the not-so-deep and not-so-hidden meaning. After all, it is a great day to be alive.

I got rice cooking in the microwave Got a three day beard I don't plan to shave And it's a goofy thing but I just gotta say Hey I'm doing alright Yeah I think I'll make me some homemade soup Feelin pretty good and that's the truth It's neither drink nor drug induced No I'm just doin alright And it's a great day to be alive I know the sun's still shinin when I close my eyes There's some hard times in the neigborhood But why can't every day be just this good? It's been fifteen years since I left home Said good luck to every seed I'd sown Give it my best and then I left it alone Oh...I hope their doin alright Now I look in the mirror and what do I see? A lone wolf there starin back at me Long in the tooth but harmless as can be Lord I guess he's doin alright And it's a great day to be alive I know the sun's still shinin when I close my eyes There's some hard times in the neigborhood But why can't every day be just this good? Sometimes it's lonely Sometimes it's only me And the shadows that fill this room Sometimes I'm fallin Desperately callin Howlin at the moon... Ahwoo! Ahwoo! Well I might go get me a new tattoo Or take my old Harley for a three day cruise Might even grow me a Fu Manchu... Oh Aww! And it's a great day to be alive I know the sun's still shinin when I close my eyes There's some hard times in the neigborhood But why can't every day be just this good? And it's a great day to be alive I know the sun's still shinin when I close my eyes There's some hard times in the neigborhood But why can't every day be just this good?

I was looking at pictures yesterday. I looked at a lot of pictures from fun places I have been like Oregon...Concerts...Rock Creek. I just came to realize (not that I didn't already know) how blessed I am. I have so many people in my life who care for me and who I care for. God has put so many people in my life that I KNOW I can depend on. I was looking at pictures from Oregon and was just thinking how thankful I am for Kelsey and Jessica. They pretty much introduced me to their sick humor..and now I am one of them! HA! I still miss Kelsey so much and now I will miss Jessica terribly too. I can't wait to see them this summer. I was going through crazy pictures of Emily and I...those are pretty much never ending! I probably laugh most at/with her. We never cease to come up with something stupid to say...yet we both share the same love and passion for God and that is irreplaceable. Going through pictures from Rock Creek I just can't thank God enough for Lakeview. I have so many great memories...memories of spiritual growth and of wonderful times. Memories that range from staying up all night chatting with Todd, Lindsay and Kriss the last night of camp to talking for hours with Phyllis. Even though I have been going to Quail Springs because it is closer...Lakeview will always be my home and I honestly can't thank God enough for the people there. I was also going through pictures of Richelle and I. Let me tell you, I just love that girl. She is such a deep, wonderful and caring person. She listens to me complain about stuff all the time and I thank her for being one of my best friends.

God is so good to me.
